Thanks to vice-governor Vladimir Tomsik, and ambassador Jaroslav Olsa Jr. the bust stands on the place of the former Blue Star Hotel, where Rizal stayed during his visit to Litoměřice & Prague in 1887. It stands opposite the famed Art Nouveau Municipal House and the gothic Powder Tower (1475), just at the beginning of the Royal Route at the Square of the Republic.
